Volume
The cubic metres you move set the vehicle and crew. A two-bed flat typically costs 15 to 20 percent more than a one-bed flat on the same route.
Distance and route
Lisbon is around 2,500 km from Munich and close to 3,000 km from Berlin. Distance is the main reason Portugal costs more than other EU countries.
Access at both addresses
Historic centres such as Alfama in Lisbon or Ribeira in Porto have steep, narrow streets. A large truck often cannot reach the door, so goods move to a smaller van.
Date and flexibility
Month-end and summer dates book out first. A flexible collection window makes it easier to plan the truck and lowers the price.
