2. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (servers in the EU, Frankfurt region). When you visit, technically necessary data such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time are processed to deliver the site and protect it against misuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are kept only for a short period.

3. Moving calculator

When you use the calculator, the addresses you type and the selected move size are sent to our server to calculate an estimate. To suggest and locate addresses we use Google Maps Platform (Google Ireland Ltd.); for truck routes and tolls we use PTV Group (PTV Planung Transport Verkehr GmbH). Only the address text or coordinates are passed on, no name, e-mail or phone number. The calculator stores no personal data and needs no sign-up (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

4. Quote requests

If you click “Get my fixed-price quote”, you are taken to our request form on portal.moving-calculator.de with your addresses filled in. The data you enter there is processed to prepare and send your quote (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Campaign parameters from the link you came from (for example utm_source) may be passed on so we know which channel brought you.

5. Analytics

With your consent we use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to measure how the site and the calculator are used (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). These services are only loaded after you click “Accept analytics” and can be switched off at any time on the cookie policy page.

6. AI assistants and the API

Assistants and apps that use our MCP server or API send route and volume data in the same way as the calculator. We do not receive personal data about the person using the assistant.

7. Data sharing

We share data only with the service providers named above, and where required by law. Where providers process data outside the EU, this is based on the EU Commission's adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
